Eyes are the most vital and delicate organs of the human body and they start functioning as soon as we are born. Although babies are born colourblind, but they slowly develop their eyesight within a very brief period of time. Our eyes enable us to see. The cells in our eyes are of different shapes and forms such as rod shaped and cone shaped. Rod shaped cells are associated with imparting vision where as cone shaped cells help us to distinguish between different colours. Both are equally important and help in proper functioning of the eyes.
